“Send every boat in the country, if we’re to stand a chance”

I’ve been trying to wrangle the young British historian who is behind the Twitter account Real Time in World War II for an interview, but I imagine he’s a bit busy.

Any fan and/or teacher of history will appreciate the endeavors of this young man.  He is live-tweeting every day in World War II, as it might have been had there been Twitter at the time.

I bring it up now because he’s doing the evacuation of Dunkirk, and it’s just so wonderful.  So thoroughly researched, so personal, so immediate.

In addition to Twitter, you can friend Real Time in World War II on Facebook.
